Our Blizzard

Does this look like a blizzard?  I didn't think so either.  They said there was a blizzard warning, but all it was was lots of wind and a foot of snow.  Ok, so visibility was pretty bad and the roads were terrible, but blizzard?, that is a snow storm.  We used to live in Minot, ND.  THOSE were blizzards.  HUGE drifts, crazy fast wind, and sometimes the inability to leave your house.  Things are so relative in the world.  Thanks be to God that we have a SOLID rock, a shelter in the time of storm.

Meditating on God's changelessness. :-)

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change."
James 1:17 (ESV) Emphasis added

  3. Oh Joanna! This IS an Illinois blizzard! If you really want a giggle, check the local news to see just how many of the public schools canceled... my brother has been out 8 days in January alone (there's only 21 scheduled). My family used to live out East and somehow, the world kept going even with snow on the ground. Illinois' a different world :)

  4. That would be considered a blizzard 'round here in South Georgia, believe me...everyone goes ballistic and dashing for their cameras at the slightest snow flurries (me included). LOL :)

  6. Over here, they apparently have to warn about ever possible worst-case-scenario whenever there's the mere chance of something as simple as a thunderstorm, because back when they didn't, people sued them. It's rather silly I think, because it makes nature look like some desastrous monster from hell, while after all, it's just that - nature.

  7. Thank you for your comment! But I think you should try to finish knitting your socks. Trust me, it is so worth it!
And when you are finished, put a picture up here for us all to admire... :)
    Good luck!
