This fall our Homeschool co-op put on the play "Soda Shop Angel." It was my first play and I think it went pretty well. I got to know the people in the cast better and I learned a good deal. It was set in the 1550s, so I made a poodle skirt (Post on that sometime in the future). Before the play we also acted in skirts. Since this is a picture heavy post, though I'm not posting even a quarter of the photos I took, I'll be adding a page break...Enjoy these backstage pictures!

School
I'm so sorry! I feel like I have completely abandoned all my blogger friends! Well, I haven't. So what is happening? School started today! Yah! The first week is always nice because there is not a lot of work. For all of my readers who love books, the next book I am going to dig into for school is an Agatha Christie. I have never read any of her books, but I know that they are mysteries. This one is called "Ten little Indians", or "And Then there were None" (because it changed names after the second and third editions were printed. ) Everyone I have talked to says that it is really good, but I'm not so sure. So far as I know, everyone gets murdered. Doesn't make it sound very appealing? My thoughts exactly.
In art we made stamps today. I was feeling rather artistic, so I did mine a little different than I usually do. It turned out great! I did our state bird, the Cardinal. I am really happy with it. I will post pictures and some details about the process if you want me to. Just comment and say so! I will most likely be posting very short posts until next Monday. Why? I am privy to a very large secret, which I am so excited about, but alas, I cannot post about it yet. Don't worry, when I do, it will be very good!

Snow Day!
It rained all night and then it started to snow. For all you who drive, you know that this is a recipe for disaster. As a result, our homeschool co-op was cancelled. In a way I was glad, because there is a lot that I need to get done at home, but I did want to turn my homework in.
Here is my latest painting. I wasn't sure if I should post it, because my grandma reads my blog sometimes and it is for my grandpa. So grandma, if you're reading this, *ssshhhhhh*, don't tell please! For those who don't know, my grandpa is an avid hunter. He owns a cottage in Newfoundland and moose hunts up there. This is his gift this year.
Since we are on the subject of art I posted the other picture. No, I did not draw it. My brother drew it. It is a character in the story he is writing. But I thought it was to cute to pass up. Don't you?

Crutches...
Have you ever had to use them? They are very troublesome, especially if they are two inches to big. Even so, I am thankful for them. If I didn't have them I would be in a lot of pain. On Friday, I went to the doctors office. While there I had seven plantar warts treated with some sort of molasses colored goo. The doctor, (who is a very nice gentlemen)did not mention any pain, he just said, "It may blister tonight...". It has blistered. The blisters are very big. These quarter size blistered hurt tremendously. Little stubborn Jo-snazz does not, can not swallow pills, she just gags on them. Jo-snazz actually asked for a Tylenol, and swallowed it, that should give you an idea of the pain.
So recently, I have been using crutches to stable me as I hobble along on my heels(the only part I can put weight on without pain). I had to bring them to the chapel, I had to bring them to co-op, I am tired of using them. Let's see, I was asked 1..2.. no, probably 20 times what I did, or, "What happened to you?". I do believe I looked very silly. What a way to start the school year! Do you think the blisters will be gone by Friday?
Well, at least I learned how to swallow pills!
