Super Bowl

I was struck this super bowl by all of the awful stuff that is on TV.  I didn't really watch it, I was reading "To kill a mockingbird" for a school assignment.  Even so, it was awful!  My grandparents were here, and my grandpa is unsaved,(please, please, please pray for him, I have done so almost everyday for as long as I can remember...) so naturally, he wouldn't understand why we don't ever watch the halftime show.  Since he was here, we watched it.  Have you ever had that feeling that you wish you could cover your eyes, and your ears and sing Blessed Assurance at the top of your lungs?!!!  (the singing thing runs in the family :-] )  It was awful.  Not to mention the commercials.  If I thought it was bad, what did my brothers think?  I can't even imagine.  Now I know why we only watch movies, the occasional news broadcast, the super bowl, and the Olympics!  I also know why our TV is, what, 10-or-so years old, and when you walk into our living room you can't see it because its behind doors.  Because it is not a big part of our life, and SHOULDN'T be.  I'm not judging and saying you sin if you watch TV, I'm just giving my 2 cents, and my thoughts on what TV has become, not what it used to be.  Thanks for reading me out!

  4. We only watch Movies. The only time we watch anything else is if we are at a friends house or something.

  5. I don't ever watch TV, but I did for the olympics, but that is about it. I think we only have chanel 7, but you can't even make out a face! Which, in a way, I think is a good thing.

  6. T.V. in Australia isn't much better
than you say it is in the U.S. And
some of what is advertized late at night is gross (sex-chat sites and trash). By the way, I would have made this an e-mail but I could not find an address. If you ever read Christian stories like The Chronicles of Narnia, may I suggest another Christian novel to try? "Outcasts Of Skagaray" can be previewed by reading the sample chapters on www.threeswans.com.au If you want to visit my site, feel free. Whatever happens, blessings. I really did enjoy visiting your site.

  7. Yeah sis, the half time show was something else.
Oh and, the 'singing thing' doesn't run in the family :p
I guess you, and mommy are the only ones.

  9. Hud,
    Oh yeah? :P

    Andrew,
Yes, I have read the chronicles of Narnia, they were very good. I have also read some of the Mr. lewis' other books, but I must say, I enjoy the pevinces much better that Wormwood. :)

    Brooke,
You didn't miss anything! The only part I enjoyed was the winning touch down. Whoever it was, was very precise in where he landed his feet! He won the game by an inch.

  10. Oh, sorry Mr. Clarke! I assumed you were a kid, otherwise I wouldn't have called you Andrew. :)

  11. I agree - I get fed up with what's on tv. I don't really watch much tv, other than sports - I love my cricket and football! And even when it comes to movies, there are hardly ever movies on telly that I like - I have to buy what I want on dvd, and enjoy it that way!
