I love it when we just pick up and leave. When we do things on a whim. Sometimes it's trips. "There is a conference this weekend" and we hop in the car and just go. No hours of packing and stressing and planning. Just the facts. Sometimes it is visits. "We're driving by such and so's house." So we stop and pop in to say "hello!" and end up staying all day talking and playing and then staying for dinner. Sometimes its dinner. Sometimes its ultimate frisbee games. Sometimes it is gorgeous afternoons on a blanket listening to Pandora and reading my Bible.
On Friday it was "Do you guys want to go to Severson Dells for a walk?"
and we said yes.
Than asked if I was going to bring my camera. :-)
What a silly question. I'm shooting for myself today.
We climbed trees and treacherous inclines.
Found: a picturesque dead tree, a pair of tennis shoes, and two hearts burned into a tree trunk.
The Webber contingent sill at home.
Do you remember the verse in the Bible that says we are to love God so much that we hate our family by comparison? Well, that is a lot of love. I love because God first loved me and I am ever so blessed with my family. Lord, help me love you more.
"For the beauty of each hour,
Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale, and tree and flower,
Sun and moon, and stars of light.
Lord of all, to Thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise."
Emily is a little fearful of bridges yet. She hugs the railing.
Impromptu portraits
Paths worth walking.
And that was a very good Friday stroll.
Remembering who Jesus is and what he did.
Amen! Thanks for always putting up with my spontaneous fun.
